All right, I know it's not perfect. He's four.

This isn't so unusual I have seen it often at this age with good coaching and a good system you can do this in one season with a 4-year-old. I have photos of my son a 4 skiing parallel.

When my son was 4, I just grabbed both of his ski boots and tipped them while he was standing still and said, "that is how you ski." That was the only instruction he needed to start carving turns.
