2013 Head Supershape - 170cm - For Sale

2012-2013 Supershape KERS in 170. Excellent condition. This is the third pair of these I've owned over the life of the product and I know the capability of this ski like most skiers on this site do. I'd rate the topsheets 8.5 out of 10, some scuffing on the tails, tips are in good shape. No topsheet edge damage. Base condition, 9.5 out of 10. One base grind by my local race shop, lots of wax in them. Mounted with the Freeflex Pro 14 DIN binding.

Why am I selling them ? I think they got out once or twice this year, I'm just not skiing anything this short anymore ( I'm 6'2"). This is too good a ski and too hard to find to sit in my basement.

What caused you to get the base grind and what type of structure did you get?

Out of the wrapper on Head's can be all over the map. On a ski with the performance capability of the SS, I like to know that the tune is right on. Tuned to 1/3, no special base structure applied.

I totally agree that Head supershapes can be all over the map from the factory. Just got a pair of ss I speeds, skied them once as is and they skied like crap.Had a .7 and 3 put on but stayed with the factory grind ,and bingo, they skied the way Head supershapes should. I will agree that they are better than they used to be from the factory, esp. the base grinds, but the base and side bevels need refinement to fully realize the potential of the ski.
