Super Shapes Deal

I saw this on E bay today. This particular shop has quite a bit of Head product on sale. I saw XRC 1200's for $409 with bindings, XRC 1400 chips for $429 with bindings and Super Shapes for $569 with Free Flex 17 bindings (only in 170 and 175 lengths). All these deals seem very good to me.

I was looking at the same deals as well. The thing holding me back was the binding. I am 6'4 and 208 (still dropping) and almost 55 years young improving intermediate. This would put me at the bottom of the range on the free flex plus 17. I understand this is not desirable. Any thoughts?

Magyar, I ski the SS in a 170 and I have the Free Flex 17 binding which is set at 9.5. I am 6 3' 190 lbs. Harald and Diana set these skis up for me and mounted the bindings. If you keep your din between 8 and 10 you may not need as much binding as the FF 17, but it's not as if you shouldn't be using that binding. You could potentially save some money by mounting the FF 14, but I don't think you should shy away from skiing with the 17's. JB.
