Help, can't find iM72 in Utah

Postby dewdman42 » Wed Feb 01, 2006 9:05 pm

Help, I have called a bunch of shops in Utah. I can't find a single shop stocking the iM72 for purhase or demo. Does anyone know of a shop in SLC or Park City?

In case anyone wants to know, I did find one shop with this ski. Its called "The Sport Shop" and apparently its listed on the realskiers.com site as a "Top shop" which I somehow missed. In any case, the sell it but don't demo it. To demo it you have to go elsewhere. They said to try a place called "The Ski Connection"

I spoke with Jans in Park City before buying the iM72's from Harold. They said their customers wanted wider and they had not purchased any 72's or 70's this year, focusing on the 77 and 88. They did have SuperShapes in stock.

Interesting that HH and Heyoka and others are going narrower at the waist and wide at the tip and tail for most skiing.

As HH said he has only skied 4 days in deep powder last year and most Utah visitors will not see any. I skied 2 days in bottomless stuff at Powder Mountain last year and am waiting this year...

Well, I promised a report, but unfortunately I was not able to demo the iM72 while I was in Utah. For a variety of reasons..
