Shiffrin won todays slalom at Are after winning the GS yesterday. With those 2 wins she has surpassed the great Ingmar Stenmark and his 86 WC wins. Shiffrin is still only 27 and the way she is skiing now (equally dominant in both GS and Slalom) she is on pace to have well into triple digits in WC wins. Truly amazing!!

She is in top form. Even if you took away all 885 of her WC slalom points, she would still be #1 in the overall standings so far this year!
The course at Åre today had an interesting risk/reward setup. It was fun to watch the skiers who were going all out and taking a ton of risk, but eventually the course got to them. Mikaela was the fastest in her first run today, and then was faster than everyone else except Oehlund in the 2nd run. It cost $0.99 to watch Run 2 in pay-per-view on skiandsnowboardlive.com. English commentary by Porino and Lewis.
