Accreditation Skiing Standards - Yellow

Groomed easy slope:
- Release consistently using the old stance leg and foot as the initiators.
- Both skis maintain the same edge angle and rate of change of edge angle, and shins remain parallel, during transition to engagement.
- Both skis continue to increase angle to surface as turn progresses using ski design to determine turn size and direction.
Teaching demonstrations:
- All direction changes begin with a movement toward the little-toe edge.
- The stance ski remains passive in transition and changes direction through reaction to free foot actions.

Groomed intermediate slope:
- Release consistently using the old stance leg and foot as the initiators.
- Both skis maintain the same edge angle and rate of change of edge angle, and shins remain parallel, during transition to engagement.
- Both skis continue to increase angle to surface as turn progresses using ski design to determine turn size and direction.
Teaching demonstrations:

- The stance ski remains passive in transition and changes direction through reaction to free foot actions.
Accreditation Skiing Standards - Blue
- Hits: 2192
Groomed intermediate slope:
- Able to demonstrate both types of release:
- Lighten old stance ski, transfer to little-toe edge of new ski, initiate turn with Phantom Move
- Weighted release - continue to balance on old stance ski
- Release, transfer, & engagement result in turn arc using ski design (carving).
- Carve turns in two sizes - short and medium
Intermediate mogul slope:
- Perform either of the two releases in continuous, fall line skiing.
Accreditation Skiing Standards - Black
- Hits: 2062
Groomed intermediate slope:
- Perform clean, non-skidded, carved turns
Intermediate mogul slope:
- Perform both methods of release consistently in continuous, fall line skiing:
- Release with transfer to new ski
- Weighted release
Groomed expert slope:
- Alternate series of short and medium radius carved turns with release.
Expert mogul slope:
- Perform continuous fall line skiing, releasing consistently from the old stance foot.
