Carve plates really loose after one season of skiing

Today I was doing the tune-up for the two i.SL ship ski pairs (mine and my son?s).
I discovered accidentally that after about 50 days of skiing the carve plates on both skis were really loose.
Not sure what is going on ? I expected those to be firmly attached since they came pre-mounted from the factory.
Both pairs are i.SL chip 2005 year model.
