How's Colorado skiing so far?

Postby midwif » Thu Oct 31, 2019 11:49 am

Hi Colorado skiers
Its very exciting to get these early season alerts with snow accumulations at various resorts from Open Snow.
What's the skiing like?
Inquiring minds would like to know ....and dream.

Others living and skiing in Colorado can answer but from HH's comments and the webcam views (from the A Basin website), they are clearly having some great early season conditions.

Still early season without much open, but it looks like a few mountains are poised to get some additional runs open. Keystone and A-Basin are "threatening" to have top-to-bottom skiing available starting this weekend. Unfortunately the weather forecast looks dry for quite a while over the next week or so.

I ran into HH and Diana this morning at LL. They were getting in a quick couple hours before rushing back to the shop for the alignment camp. It was great to chat with them for a bit. HH is sporting brand new boots: Nordica GP 140.

Any particular reason he moved on from the Dalbellos?

I always liked Nordica's shells.

He said that he can drop right into the 98mm last without needing to do any work on the shell. He also said the stock cork liner is great and the stance works really well for his skiing. He's got them in stock at the shop.
