The Brits, and the Belgians, yes the British, the Brexit British had 2 skiers in the second run at the last slalom. The US Ski TEam had nobody.

Just think what us Brits could achieve if we had someone teaching PMTS in the UK :)

I'm very curious who's coaching Dave Ryding and what his or her background is... he's textbook PMTS and keeping it together even when it's tough... that level of precision is not very common...

I don't know Ryding's coaches but his technique is excellent, he's more back on the skis then the fastest guys and he hits the edges hard, but technically he is excellent. He started skiing on plastic slopes in Scotland. I've skied on plastic it takes lots of edge hold to feel a good turn.

Check out Team Evolution—it is a crew of brits training a wide range of juniors, academy style. Interestingly they all ski similarly... some of the older kids, I think, have WC starts. I don’t know who coaches or runs the program but much of the skiing has strong pmts characteristics.

Belgium has a better men's slalom team than the US Ski Team. Some people are getting it done.
